Arriving by air

The nearest airports are Baden-Baden/Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Strasburg.
From there the journey can continue by public transport or hired car.

Arriving by rail

For those arriving via Stuttgart and Hausach there is a rail connection every two hours.
If you arrive via Karlsruhe, you can even avail  the Deutsche Bahn connection at hourly intervals.
Stuttgart and Karlsruhe can be reached with the ICE, IC/EC trains, and Hausach with the IR trains of the Deutsche Bahn AG.
When approaching from Karlsruhe you arrive in the Stadtbahnhof, approaching from Stuttgart and Hausach the train takes you to the Hauptbahnhof (central station) in Freudenstadt where you can pick up a connection to the Stadtbahnhof.

Door-to-door baggage service

Leave your heavy baggage to the Deutsche Bahn AG and take of the door-to-door baggage service to travel light. This service ensures friction-free transportation of your baggage from door-to-door both on your way to us and on your way home.

Mobile during your stay

Anyone who like to get out and about during their stay can travel cheaply and easily with the "Ferienticket Schwarzwald Mitte" (Central Black Forest Holiday Ticket). For short-stay guests and groups, we recommend the "Schöne Wochenendticket" (Nice Weekend Ticket) available for EUR 19 per person. An alternative for weekdays is offered by the Baden-Württemberg Ticket. A personal timetable and detailed information on the offers are available. They can be obtained under the service telephone number 01805/996633 which is valid for the whole of Germany. After your check-in in the hotel you can use your guest card (KONUS-card) and use all buses and trains for free within the black forest (e.g. to Offenburg or Freiburg)!

A route with a view

Well known scenic routes offer a panorama view of Freudenstadt's surrounding area as you arrive. The Schwarzwaldhochstrasse (B500) connects Freudenstadt with Baden-Baden, the Schwarzwaldbäderstrasse (B294) with Wildbad, and the Schwarzwaldtälerstrasse (B462) with Karlsruhe. Coming from Stuttgart you can reach Freudenstadt via the Highway and the national road 28.
